When is the Oh. What. Fun. release date?
Oh. What. Fun. will stream exclusively on December 3 on Prime Video.
Pfeiffer stars as Claire Clauster, the overworked matriarch holding everything together, especially around the holidays. Claire single-handedly keeps the holiday spirit alive for her family. However, her children and husband pay little attention to Claire. This year, the family makes one crucial mistake: They forget their mom.
“By the time they realize she’s missing, Claire’s already set off on a festive adventure of her own — one that doesn’t involve cooking, cleaning, or coordinating anyone else’s chaos,” the official logline reads. “As her family scrambles to find her and salvage their Christmas, Claire rediscovers what the holidays mean when you’re finally free to put yourself first.”
Claire is then seen dancing on a television show as her family watches at home. “I can’t decide if she’s an icon or a train wreck,” one of the Clauster siblings notes. Someone else answers, “Icon.”
Besides Pfeiffer, Oh. What. Fun. stars Felicity Jones as Channing, Chloë Grace Moretz as Taylor, Dominic Sessa as Sammy, Devery Jacobs as Donna, Rafaella Karnaby as Lucy, Drake Shehan as Ben, Jason Schwartzman as Doug, and Dennis Leary as Nick.
Additional cast members include Danielle Brooks, Havana Rose Liu, Maude Apatow, Eva Longoria, and Joan Chen.
Michael Showalter, who helmed Amazon’s The Idea of You, directs Oh. What. Fun. from a screenplay he co-wrote with Chandler Baker. Producers include Showalter, Jane Rosenthal, Berry Welsh, Jordana Mollick, and Kate Churchill.
Oh. What. Fun. is not yet rated.
