Ready or Not 2 Release Date Set, Cast Celebrates Filming Wrap

It’s time for another round of deadly hide-and-seek. Searchlight Pictures has announced the release date for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, sharing the exciting news along with a behind-the-scenes photo and video of the cast as they celebrate the completion of filming.

The much-awaited sequel to the acclaimed 2019 horror-comedy will see Samara Weaving return as the distressed newlywed Grace. The sequel reunites her with the original film’s directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, as well as writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. Weaving is joined by newcomers Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kevin Durand, Elijah Wood, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Olivia Cheng, and David Cronenberg.

When is the Ready or Not 2: Here I Come release date?

The upcoming sequel will hit theaters on April 10, 2026, nearly seven years after Ready or Not arrived in US theaters in August of 2019. While plot details about Ready or Not 2: Here I Come are still being kept close to the vest, the set photo and video show Weaving dressed exactly as she was when we last saw her in the original film. This suggests that the second movie will pick up not long after the events in the first movie.

Pictured alongside Weaving is Newton, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania actress who — similar to Weaving — has been making a name for herself in the horror genre in recent years. You can check out the BTS image and clip down below:

The first film centered on Grace, a young bride whose supposed romantic wedding night turned into a murderous game of cat and mouse after the ultra-rich family she married into had a different and vile celebration idea in mind. It also starred Adam Brody, Mark O’Brien, Henry Czerny, and more.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is scheduled to hit theaters on April 10, 2026 — whether you’re ready or not.
