Final Destination Bloodlines reviews are beginning to come in, and the film’s early Rotten Tomatoes score make it the most successful film in the franchise.

Over on Rotten Tomatoes, the film debuted with a 92% rating, easily making it the highest scoring film in the entire franchise. Although only 48 reviews have come in, the film seems to be a massive hit, with critics largely heaping praise onto the film.
Variety’s Todd Gilchrist praised the film, calling it a “satisfying sendoff” to the late Tony Todd’s character. ComingSoon’s Jonathan Sim also loved the film, saying it still has life after six previous films.
The Hollywood Reporter’s Fran Scheck also praised the film, saying its combination of CGI and practical effects work “seamlessly,” and that the film is filled with “maximum tension,” and remains a humorous affair.
As the sixth film in the franchise, Final Destination Bloodlines stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Rya Kihlstedt, Bassinger, and the late Tony Todd.
The official synopsis reads, “Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.”
Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein direct Bloodlines from a screenplay by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor. Busick and Taylor developed the story with Jon Watts.
Final Destination Bloodlines opens in theaters on May 16.
