Mark Ruffalo HBO Show Task Gets Teaser Trailer, Release Date

HBO has released the first official teaser trailer for Task, an upcoming crime drama starring Mark Ruffalo from the creator of Mare of Easttown.

When is Task’s release date?

The seven-episode series is set to premiere sometime in September on HBO, and will star Ruffalo as an FBI agent who heads up a task force to stop a string of robberies led by Tom Pelphrey’s character.

The trailer highlights both characters and their motivations, with Pelphrey’s Robbie seemingly performing the robberies to provide for his family.

Alongside Ruffalo and Pelphrey, Task also stars Emilia Jones, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Thuso Mbedu, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Raúl Castillo, Silvia Dionicio, Phoebe Fox, and Martha Plimpton.

Ingelsby is best known for creating the hit HBO crime drama Mare of Easttown, which premiered in 2021. Most recently, he also wrote the upcoming thriller Echo Valley, which stars Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney, and will premiere in June on Apple TV+.
